Our team is represented on advisory boards for Government and non government bodies providing expert advise and support towards policy and service delivery in the ethnic sector.
We provide training and support services to professionals and organisations offering services to clients of South Asian origin to implement culturally appropriate workplace practices. Our workshops include:

• Working with the Indian diaspora in New Zealand: Half-day workshop focuses on developing an understanding of Indian history, colonization, cultural nuances, caste system, value systems and practices.
• Family harm within the South Asian context: Half-day workshop aimed at increasing awareness for professionals working in the family harm space in developing skills to work with families affected by family harm
• Training the trainers for work place wellness management: Sahaayta believes that if an organisation focuses on actively understanding, adapting and engaging holistic wellness as part of their kaupapa, they would then require capability to deal with these matters within the organisation. Sahaayta trains representatives or champions within the organisation to enable them form that infrastructure. These representatives will be responsible to address and adapt to various situations and respond appropriately with regard to wellness matters including advising the organisation’s leadership on the right interventions.
